You’re wrong

You misunderstood me apparently. I wouldn’t desire one because I prefer rwd and the 7th gen is clearly fwd... hence why I wouldn’t and don’t desire one.

I wouldn’t call it fast, but it was peppy with the 2zz.

Can’t speak of anyone’s character beyond limited interactions, but I encountered a few well set up gen 7's at autocross events.

Your ignorance is showing.

You go away. Thanks

So you wouldn’t get a gen 7 because it’s basically a 2 door Corolla. But you’d get a Matrix even though it’s a corolla hatch on stilts.

What you described doesn’t make the gen 7 bad. It makes the owners of 7 gens bad.

“First, the celica simply isn’t “sporty” by anyone’s definitions.”

Yup. Looks like the v6 is about 3800 and the v8 about 3900 in the real world with red.

OK

I might have worded that poorly.

Motor Trend says 3,802 for the automatic and Jag claims the auto is only 22 lbs heavier than the manual:

Can you provide any tests where they didn’t just provide the manufacturer numbers for the V6?

Seems like Jaguar is being generous with their claims.

You list the curb weight as 3,492, but tests of the 2016 S Coupe with a manual show weights closer to 3,800lbs.

All this recent talk of classic Celicas is killing me.

I get what you’re trying to say, but....

You are so wrong, it’s painful.

I think that’s the same screen they showed a while ago.
