I apologize in advance for coming off as a dick by saying I question your knowledge but you should understand that 2000hp and that combo isn’t going low 5's.

That video you posted was in the 1/8th mile and their best 1/8th was in the 4's that day. NOT the 1/4. They even post their best time of the day at the end of the video: 4.4 at 152mph. That is not a 5 second car in the 1/4 yet. Not even close.

I know the bara can take a lot of abuse but there’s really know debating that the 2J has made more. To the best of my knowledge there isn’t a single bara in the 5's through the 1/4. That could boil down to support, but it also shows that, currently, the 2J has made more power.

2J parts are easier to come by and a built 2J has obviously made more power than any built bara. Plus, the bara manages to be noticeably heavier and taller than the 2J, which is an already tall and heavy engine.

You are wrong on so many levels. Mazda’s creation of the 787 was in no way dictated by the RX7. RX7 sales were in no way correlated to the existence of the 787. I’l say it one more time and only one more time. The 717, the car that would eventually evolve into the 787 was developed as a separate item around the same
