- Cheap intake routed on to the top of the engine (hooray heat soak)

$50K?!?!

Why does he want one? Is he just fond of them? Has he driven one?

Thanks (no sarcasm)

The sentence infers that the tattoo is not removable. It does not seem to state that your skin is not removable.

I don’t know what’s more outrageous: the idea that I would drink motor oil, or the idea that when given the option of any car I want for free I decide I want a fiat 500 abarth. Pffffft

Here’s my problem with the argument that Shark Cards are a justified means of compensating Rockstar for new content: the cost for new content is disproportionately higher than the value of the work put into creating the content.

But the Z06 is already quicker around a track...

I forgot how expensive the XLR was. You made a lot of valid points. I hope you’re wrong too, but it sounds very plausible.

Whoa? How did you come up with that number?

Woah. I wasn’t convinced it would actually happen.

I agree completely. I was just surprised to see that they were consistently .5 to 1 second behind the 488 and GT. Watching them get walked on the straights was a little surprising too.

I wonder if there were boost level changes to the Ferrari or the Ford then. I know they’ve been making minor changes to their boost tables, but too lazy to find out what their tables were last year vs. now.

They were pulling up top, not out of the corner. Also, the GT has a 3.5L. Also also, the reason is for BoP changes, not because of boost vs. NA.

I saw much of the same thing. The nail in the coffin was when the C7R was in front of the 488 and GT after the yellow flag was lifted with less than an hour left. First time around the oval, the 488 walks around the C7R. Second time around the oval, the GT passes the C7 hard.

I’m aware of this, but I wouldn’t expect it to cause the considerable disparity that was obvious during the race. I would expect the other car to edge out the C7, but not completely walk away. The 5.5l in the C7 still has plenty of torque and power throughout the power-band and the transmission is geared exceptionally

Found the reason. IMSA still has the C7R’s running a relatively small 29.9mm restrictor after they were dominating last year.

That may be true, but we are talking about acceleration and top speed down the back straight. I can see the other two having a slight advantage given their power-bands, but they literally walk away from the rest of the field. It’s not a matter of a slight advantage, it’s a clear disparity between the two.

The C7R is only one year older than the other two and forced induction does not necessarily lend itself to higher top end. The cars are restricted as far as power and redline are concerned, so the different engines should be making roughly the same power, unless the C7 was additionally restricted.

It seems to me that the Ford GT’s and the Ferrari’s have a definitive speed/power advantage over the rest of the field. Seeing the C7, GT, and Ferrari exit a turn at roughly the same speed after the yellow is lifted, and then only to have the C7 get smoked on the long bank, it was like the other two were in a
