Huh.  Weird how the FIA changed the rules to make Mercedes less competitive last year and then bent the rules to ensure Hamilton didn’t win the championship.  But yeah, they’ll definitely bend the rules to favor Merc.

Unpopular opinion.

No matter which system is chosen as permanent some people get the short end of the stick because of time zones. Either it’s those on the eastern edges of a time zone or those on the western edges. Those on the western edges suffer for DST those on eastern edges suffer for ST.

Leave it to congress to completely fuck up an easy political win.

I think it’s just a mostly unavoidable consequence of living in a large country.

Year round standard time would mean 4:15 AM sunrises in June for me so I can’t endorse that.

If that’s the case and it’s that bad, human behavior can just roll back an hour. 8-4 instead of 9-5 for example. (or is it forward to 10-6?...)

Yeah, some quick math says the sunrise in my area will be around 8:30 for most of the winter. I like the idea of more light in the evening, but for people commuting and kids going to school, a lot of it is going to be in the dark.

There wasn’t really anything for which either Max or Lewis could have been blamed today. Both absolutely drove their dicks off.

I can’t blame Red Bull or Max for this. They took advantage and a strategy that was perfect. It’s Masi that fucked it up. There’s something to be said about how much pressure Masi was under in this crazy season but still, he failed when it mattered not just for this race but the whole season.

Funny, I usually try to do likewise and come back to “fuck Lewis and fuck Toto, but especially Toto”, but today it was “fuck Michael and Derek” more than anything else. 

Despite amazing success I think Red Bull is a little insecure because they are a racing team with Japanese powered cars under an Austrian licence based in the United Kingdom. Deep down Horner is a little butt hurt that Red Bull makes shitty tasting energy drinks and not actual cars like Mercedes.

Plus it’s ugly.

Don’t worry this has been consistently the situation this year. Max is allowed to, by the intent and letter of the rules, break the rules race and race again with no consequences, and only because he has 0 chill and is consistently forcing the most aggressive position possible when someone else doesn’t yield to him…
