If the goal is to differentiate from Subaru, that seems counter-productive.

They could try lifting it and putting some black plastic cladding on the wheel wells, I hear that’s pretty popular.

Damn, David, I’m not one to gush, but this is the kind of content that keeps me coming back. It’s not just a report of “Here’s something that happened” but rather it’s a dive into why it happened, complete with sweet sweet math to back it up!

Reading comprehension for the loss, eh?

RV Driver: “Wow, this thing is really struggling.”

if the manufacturers really gave a shit they would just have secret shoppers go buy cars at their dealerships and see what kinda tactics theyre using. if they dont meet certain criteria dump em. but they dont. theyre happy to make us deal with middlemen and increase costs for everyone.  the survey doesnt help because

I mentioned this on your last post regarding dealership dirty tactics (tossing keys on top of the building). Back in 2012 I drove 130 miles to Serra Nissan in Birmingham to test drive and potentially buy a used Hyundai Elantra ($7,000) listed in a newspaper ad. The salesperson went inside to get the keys, then came

Sometimes, I think the simple answer is the best. I’d be willing to bet the dude probably just didn’t know about the inventory on the lot. There have been a few times I searched around online for a car I was looking for, found it, and then drove to the dealership within 30 minutes to go test drive it.

I feel like “because they’re stupid assholes” could/should be the answer to 95% of your questions about dealerships.

Sounds boring, and potentially COVID-ish. But you are correct.

After all of this Toyota Reliability bragging, I’m going to do essentially NOTHING to this vehicle other than change the fluids.

Then I’m going to drive it 5,000 miles, and tow with it.

There’s NO WAY it will handle that flawlessly. I don’t believe it. 275k!

it’s not that we don’t have the tax revenue, it’s that we spend it on F-35s and missiles to sell to isreal and saudi arabia, instead of spending it on fixing up our own home.

Here’s the reason our infrastructure and so on suck: Because for some reasons we Americans at large seem to view taxes of ANY form as horribly eeevvville. Its become a 3rd rail topic. And it makes no sense. Some crabby old white guy who probably voted for Trump will go out there and get a flat tire on his truck due to

Few years ago I saved up $8K (VERY hard for a single mom in the Bay Area) to buy me a nice car for a change after having to drive an SUV because of my very big sons in their high school years. It was time for mama to drive a sweet ride. I wanted to buy from the local used car dealership in town to support small

When my wife and I first got married (late 90s), she needed a car. It was her money, she was trading in her car and she was the one that was going to drive it.

Looks like the Tesla responded about the same way as a human who was only paying half-attention. Panic, jerk to the side, recover, continue. Agree - it worked. And the driver is a bag of dicks for camping there in the first place.

Bet I could work with that. Frame looks clean.

On top of slideshow, you guys had to do screen shots?  Why can’t you copy and paste the text like a sane person?
