Seth McFarlane is such an odd duck because there is such a huge dichotomy between how treats humans in real life and what he thinks is funny. His staff consistently say his company and sets are very well run, he tries very hard to provide great opportunities for women and people of color, and invests in structures to

Lucasfilm was quick to note that Jones “guided” the generation of Vader’s lines in the show, the actual voice for the character was generated by an AI firm called Respeecher in Ukraine.

He always was evil. He has talked about how 60% of his workday at Pacific Bell was pretending to do his job, and getting pissed off that he kept getting passed over for promotions by “diversity hires.”

Interesting point. With acronyms for organizations it seems our trend is to start with “the” then eventually drop its use. Like we don’t say “The CBS” or “The NBC” (don’t know if we ever did). I work for an organization where about half of the people say “the” before the acronym and the other folks don’t.

Go for it! I want this thing to catch on!

I really enjoyed that Dave Barry book as a kid.

I think the events in the first thing were far enough in the past that we could take them as straight comedy regardless of what you thought about Kennedy or Nixon. I cringe to thing what anything more recent would look like.

You wouldn’t want to see him digitally inserted and telling Donald Trump to just g’head and help himself to all those boxes?

No way a Gump sequel comes off as anything but a gimmick, shoehorning him into yet another round of current events.

Happened to me. Luckily, it was the last performance I was playing as Tevye in my high school production of Fiddler, and the gruff, croaky voice fit the characterization perfectly. Couldn’t speak for a week afterward, though.

It’s a theory based in very little concrete evidence—just an anecdote ripped from Naya Rivera’s book, Sorry Not Sorry, that details how Michele refused to improvise scenes in Glee with veteran actor Tim Conway.

I like Paramount +. They have all of Star Trek, and a ton of funny stuff from Comedy Central.
