The ideal approach is obvious: a CSI show where they only investigate crimes that occurred on the sets of other CSI shows.

“What kind of drugs do you take? What the hell is wrong with you???”

Yeah it’s really sad and hard when a busy actor dies, but they leave all this finished work behind.  I think Philip Seymour Hoffman had movies coming out for almost two years after he died, which made his death even worse, because the work keeps coming and you’re aware he’s gone, and then it suddenly stops.  Same with

meanwhile though, it sounds better when you don’t know who the person is like “I heard someone one in my back yard.. what are they doing? I can’t believe it! they stole my bike!” etc. I mean, people been sayin it that way for a gazillion years without a prob.

If they’re drug dealers, the production should’ve just bought $50,000 worth of drugs from them. Then everyone would win!

In this specific case, I’m pretty sure it refers to the loose confederation of alien beings inside Ezra Millers head.

We need a gender neutral singular noun that’s less impersonal than “it”.

For reasons I never learned my local affiliate used to start SNL at 11:35. I am fuzzy on if there was even an era where it used to start at 12:05 since there was a local sketch show (the start of Joel McHale’s media career?) that even preempted SNL.

Not me.

Cue the usual flood of “hey did anyone ever notice that no one ever talks about Avatar” comments

Which means he probably did the same bit last night, too.

Thanks for taking me down the rabbit hole of reading the comments on the AVClub review of the pilot episode of The Cape. I got a good laugh out of the comment someone left about being tired of superhero stuff . . . 11 years ago. That person must be in a deep inner circle of Hell right now.

Extremely online pop-culture nerds like us tend to overestimate how much the general public resembles our bubble. “I don’t know anyone who’s excited about HotD,” we’d say, forgetting that there are millions of people out there we don’t know and that our social circles aren’t representative of the population at large.

She is in a long line of fascinating Finnish PMs

I would love that to be the case, but I suspect that once trump does not get the repub presidential nod (or “chose to stop running so that I could do other bigger, some say the biggest, in the history of the world, like you have never seen, let me tell you, it was the witch hunt of all witch hunt, but I, a lot of

A simple “Thanks, but we’re not a good match” works.

I actually just saw that.  There’s an editorial about him in today’s Wall St. Journal.  I doubt many pop culture enthusiasts are familiar with him though.

Agreed. It was a competent, middle of the road network sitcom but how in the actual hell was it offensive? I know nerds are such an oppressed group lol.

Never fails to amuse me that angry “nerds” get angry about BBT but actual genius scientists seemed to think it was a cute lark and did cameos.

Well today’s pop culture news has been a real treat. Newton-John, TC and now this (hopefully it can be reasonably controlled).
