And “A Bug’s Life” was the same story with insects. But, although I’m not sure there was an influence, 1976's “Star Trek: The New Voyages” (a collection of Star Trek short stories) had a story in which Shatner, et al. trade places with the Enterprise crew, which is kind of the same story as Galaxy Quest.

Mmm, I do feel like their reviews have gotten substantially more positive in the last few months, but that only brings them to a sort of normal “some good, some bad” level of criticism, rather than their historical “most movies are disappointing, the rest are okay” standpoint.

Leia calling Chewie a "walking carpet" hasn't exactly aged well...

George Lucas is obviously racist towards Wookies since Chewbacca was snubbed for a medal in A New Hope.

I’ve seen that at SeaTac, but agree that it’s (ironically) pretty uncommon in the US.

That is something that a first time US traveler to Europe often freaks out about: very conspicuous, heavily armed security at airports.

Wasn't there another famous person recently whose death announcement was premature? Although if I'm remembering correctly, this person did die shortly thereafter.
