“You don’t know what it’s like in our universe. The Federation’s gone, QAnon’s everywhere! We’re one of the only ships left!”

Comedy Central is a major network?

I look back fondly at the 4-day period just before the pandemic that had the Good Place finale, the last half-season of Bojack, and the Chiefs come from behind in the last 3 minutes to win their first Super Bowl in 50 years.

No, but it does sound Bright.

Now there actually will be HBO and Netflix deals.... for the movie/series about him.

I think Parks & Rec basically did the same thing as far as mimicking a mockumentary instead of actually being one like The Office.

I erroneously assumed the fact that Community hired him meant that he must’ve improved as a person, since in 2009 he wasn’t much of a draw either.

I just finished it and really liked it, though I wish the title was something more like Smells Like Nostalgia.

The show may not be as high-profile as it was, but I think Noah was a good choice.

Not all context is equally explanatory.

I really like the GotG movies but think Farscape was just pretty good.

Bro, do you even Tropic Thunder?

Bro, do you even Tropic Thunder?

What did you think of the first revival overall?

I’ve gotten into Chuck’s work over the last few years and I’m really liking his new book too. I’d say, though, that the “Golden Age” is precisely because fewer people are watching the same shows, so there’s less pressure to have universal appeal.

I’m generally of the attitude that “the book is still there”, i.e., a subpar re-whatever doesn’t tarnish the original. I’m not thrilled about this new revival, but I don’t see how it could really tarnish either the original incarnation or the first revival.

I wonder how long the original Futurama would’ve remained brilliant if it hadn’t been cancelled.

If all the crappy Simpsons years haven’t tarnished all the great ones, then I don’t see how a bad Futurama revival would do that.

Anyone else? You said “a lot of his former writers.”

Why didn’t you tell the world, eh?
