He’d already received the nomination by that point and had been on all forms of media nonstop for over a year, so I doubt petting his hair would make much impact.

I doubt being on a reality show makes people see someone as more normal.

That was Jimmy Fallon, and I still don’t see how it actually made a difference.

I think things would be different if appearing on Dancing with the Stars was the extent of his reality show experience.

I’m just under 35, and I don’t see it as a handicap to not insult people. The amount of people on the internet who constantly insult those they disagree with has made me determined to never do that no matter how much they do that to me.

Does “fake outrage” mean they’re not really outraged or just that their outrage is hypocritical? Based on their frequent lack of a sense of self-awareness. I’m guessing they really are unironically outraged.
