I personally think it's the year leading up to a release. The iphone 4s was a disappointment to most because it didn't hit the rumors or "leaks". The iPad 3 met the rumors and leaks but didn't make you feel "Ohhhh Awwww" because we knew about the rumors a year ago when the ipad 2 came out.

@Silber, you're looking at it backwards. The FBI has the burdon of proof, not the defense. The defense just has to show reasonable doubt about it; its the prosecutions job to prove that they would have done the criminals acts (that they were charged of) regardless of the police involvement.
