Actually I read your post wrong. We were agreeing in different words. From my understanding of the law, Entrapment requires resistance from the individual then coercion or badgering as you so called it. Also requires the officer provide the idea for the crime.

It is related to the exact crime they're charged with.

Want to know why it works? Because less than 10% of cases actually go to trial. People don't know their rights or they never hire an attorney to beat it. They say "OH they're offering me a good plea! I know how it works. I wear a uniform. The issue is the person has to be willing, and have the resources/means to commit the crime; before the FBI change involved. Or they have to not show resistance to the idea. The courts position is that it has to be proved beyond a reasonable doubt that entrapment DID NOT occur.
