I always thought of it in relation to hippies and counter-cultural types. But I'm not American.

I bet that totally ruined the narrative structure of the film.
"Mixed-race" is the largest growing ethnic group in the UK apparently. I don't think that marriage was ever banned like it was in the US either. Our racism might be a bit different.
There are ill effects due to fasting during Ramadan, especially if it's in a part of the world with short days. Nobody's dropping dead or anything but not eating food seriously affects your ability to concentrate.
Even better, they've spread to other places! The UK government is pushing them heavily (although they're called academies here).
"One of the biggest and best changes we can make in the US is to institute paternity leave."
Except that the same thing happened in lots of different countries that don't have the US Constitution. It's almost as if it didn't actually have any effect on the subject she's talking about.
I like understatements. But yeah, when I recovered the ability of coherent speech after first seeing it, my first comparison was to the 'Wicked Bible' which was printed in the 17th century and accidentally ordered its readers "Thou shalt commit adultery".
This reminded me of my all-time favourite example of a christian misunderstanding christian doctrine:
I'm surprised the Daily Mail would publicise this; the fewer people know about the auction, the better chance they have of getting it for cheap.
Is Abercrombie the one with the really stupid store design? There's one in the big new Olympics shopping centre in Stratford that looks like it's trying to be an old-style house in a trendy part of the Southern United States... in a building made of concrete and steel that's less than 4 years old. Who falls for that?
Not like (French) rugby then.
Sometimes I often wonder how this relates to stuff MRAs complain about i.e. male-rape not being taken seriously. It's not like the sexual assault of women/girls is actually treated in a much more serious manner than prison rape. You tend to see fewer jokes about it on tv (compared to prison rape) but it's not like…
I think I get what you're saying. But I'm not going to get stuck in this quagmire. Sorry.
Alternatively we could just note his passing without making a big song and dance about it. Wishing pain and death upon people is an ugly route to go down, even if they've done such things to other people. We wouldn't (presumably) approve of punitive torture in our justice system and I don't see how saying "I hope his…
The question is whether it's better or worse than a complete lack of "real" justice.
Because the way most people are going to interpret that is "what the hell?!" and I would've thought the person writing it was aware of that. The original article gives the impression that it was deliberate and I think it's a bit gross to do that intentionally.
I was going to be all like "more prudish shit from facebook" but I can't say I disapprove given that it jokes about juvenile boobies. Bit gross.
As explained further down, I double checked and didn't read the whole article beyond the bit where it said "mammary glands are an organ in female mammals...". Yeah, men have rudimentary mammary glands but they're still going to be much less susceptible than actual, developed mammary glands.
I always find it odd that American workers' union rights are minimal to non-existent, despite it being in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It's so Victorian.
