You don't do understatements in America?
You don't do understatements in America?
I dunno, I might have called it up for being a bit ham-fisted.
So in your world it's fine to mock people or use them as an insult so long as it's not an inaccurate characterisation? So because crippled kids genuinely can't chase butterflies competently, it's ok to use them as an example of someone being shit at something?
I'm not either but I see that as mocking an innocuous practise that doesn't have any relevance.
It may not be a coincidence that she resides in Cuba. In any case, the USA can absolutely go fuck itself before criticising Cuba on this one:
So is there anything Western feminists can do to support women in developing countries? Because backing off and doing nothing doesn't seem likely to help and if the active engagement attempted is also useless, is there some kind of middle ground we can adopt? Genuinely curious, not being difficult.
Yeah, like if you'd said that "it's like watching a woman do maths", that wouldn't be at all inappropriate.
Um, that's kind of of a bit rude. It's not always a requirement in Islam but many branches do stipulate that men should have beards. The guy's a dickhead clearly, but I'm not sure that's an avenue of mockery we should take.
Americans didn't have to pay sales tax online? Hmm. Seems odd. Pretty sure that's always been the case over here.
...Nope. I refuse, button. There is nothing to discuss. There are no words.
What do black actresses and singers use? I'm assuming they don't lack for high quality make-up. Is that kind of stuff not commercially available?
So this gem appears in one of the linked articles: http://www.yourblackworld.net/2013/04/black-…
So like this, but less funny?
You got former and latter the wrong way around. I think. The "latter" bit maybe works for both but the "insipid greed" bit I would imagine is harder to tag on Marxism.
...Abolish drug testing?
Yeah, they are normal things that happen as you get older... because as you get older, your testosterone levels go down.
My point about the Saudi elections is that it's like saying that if that the US abandoned democracy but the X-factor was still running, you'd still have suffrage because you could still vote. There are plenty of reasons why it's horrible to be a woman in Saudi Arabia, both from a legal prejudice perspective and a…
Which have no relevance to how the country is run, probably even on a local level. Whether that qualifies as suffrage is debatable.
There are plenty of countries where nobody has suffrage. Including, arguably, Saudi Arabia. The elections in a theocratic monarchy are not all that legit.
