I assume the wizarding/witching gene carries some kind of protection against inbreeding.

Why do people want to adapt the Hyperion Cantos? The thing is enormous. You'd have to butcher it even to make it into two massive films (and last I heard they were still only intending to make one).
Some of the subject matter might be a little tough to get funding for. The protagonist is the anti-christ, and one of the supporting characters is the original satan. Good luck getting middle-America to sign off on that...
...That is ridiculous. How can he stand there with a straight face and say he objects to Social Security? I hope the Obama campaign make a big deal of that at every opportunity.

Agree to disagree I guess. I prefer the rallies in actual volleyball.
The author remains surprisingly good-humoured through the gradual erosion of their humanity and sanity.
Yeah, I found it hilarious at first but I did feel like I needed to be decontaminated after a while. And that I no longer trusted anyone in case they were one of the authors.
My bad. I was going to post a link but I thought that might be against some kind of rule.
I agree with everything you said here, and I apologise for the possible offensiveness of my previous comment. "Better safe than sorry" is not only applicable in this case but probably the best option.
Toplessrobot has some poor staff member who trudges through the depths of human depravity, deconstructing on a weekly basis various appalling/magnificent pieces of fanfic. By god, do some people do weird things to people's treasured childhood characters.
Yeah, this is weird. And I've seen (one of?) the Thomas the Tank Engine one(s) mentioned earlier. This is definitely worse.
Oops. My bad. I meant no offence.
Does NBC know that there's another kind of volleyball that is a)more interesting to watch and b)doesn't feature women in bikinis? Granted I got bored and turned off the video about halfway through but there had been about 30 shots of beach volleyball and zero of actual volleyball.
That's from a site that sells lubricants specifically lacking in parabens. It's no more reliable than one funded by the companies that sell parabens. Linked to is not the same as causes. The connection to breast tumours is there but nowhere near causal. If there was a causal link, given the endemic presence of…
I totally agree with the glycerin. And when I said "eating it for breakfast" I meant "consuming in volumes far greater than anyone could possibly manage". I'm just a little sceptical of claims that such-and-such a chemical causes cancer.
Eh, I can't say I really object to them telling everyone who it is. Bit of an error though.

Eh, on the basis that the endocrine effects are apparently only noticeable at concentrations vastly below anyone who doesn't eat parabens for breakfast, and there is no causal link between parabens and breast cancer, I'm not going to change my habits.
You mean he didn't bother to do even the tiniest bit of research before he wrote the article? Can't say I'm too surprised...
