Why can't men be victims in the sense that they may be portrayed worse in sitcoms but still be on top overall? I'm not sure what you mean by a narrative of victimisation.

What's wrong with glycerin and parabens?

Doesn't the BBC have an American channel? Or do NBC have sole American broadcasting rights? Or is it just not available to you/where you are? (I don't understand the structure of the American tv broadcasting stuff)

OMG, who cares about "outdated online lingo" any more guyz?

Romney opposes reproductive choice, opposes sensible sex education, opposes easy access to contraception and will pursue economic policies that will negatively affect women. I don't think he does any of it because he dislikes women or has an agenda against them, but it's not difficult to see that many of his policies

In general this was a pretty awesome article (about a hugely shitty one) but there was one part I disagreed with:

It's not clear. Or at least it wasn't to a skim read. I lost interest pretty quickly because I know that crime's also on a long-term downward trend in the UK. I clicked the link and in one of the graphs they included data from the UK with the caveat that the definition and style of recording violent crime changed in

...It sounds like NBC almost makes the Olympics not worth watching.

I was thinking more along the lines of them walking in front of buses.

...Whatever. Your reading comprehension is getting to be as bad as your manners. I'm out.

The "Don't cry" rule seems a bit ridiculous, especially given that the article details all the times athletes do cry. Maybe it's more of an issue in the American media but nobody's mentioned it here in the UK, and loads of people have been in floods of tears. The only one that really got mentioned was Felix Sanchez

I'm not a huge fan of that quote. It's always just seemed a little facile, and only relevant if you're talking about ancient astronauts nuking Sodom or something. Otherwise, when is it ever a useful (and not totally obvious) insight?

Eh, weird. Sounds like you made the right decision to drop it though.

Are you sure there's nothing else that might have changed too? I can't recall Diet Coke ever being accused of causing lung problems before.

I never said they weren't an asshole. Whether or not they are is unclear. You however, clearly are. You've consistently been rude, insulting, obnoxious and you've tried to be condescending. Grow up.

Yeah, someone else quoted GrizzlyUrsula and addressed you. Kinja is being useless at the moment so it's hard to check but I'm pretty sure I've not quoted you at any point. So uh, you just made the mistake you accused me of. Smooth. And it's more like a trivial error rather than a "fucked in the head move".

Alternatively, toddlers have been shown to have the reasoning skills of grey parrots.

Do you not think that asking a question might be one way of educating yourself? And that acting like a dickhead isn't exactly going to encourage people to agree with your arguments?

That's true. But female basketball players generally can't dunk (I know there are exceptions but it is pretty uncommon). In some cases, even though the builds may be similar, the physical power to perform a particular move just isn't there. It's usually the case with dunking and I wouldn't be surprised if it was the
