Just in case anyone was wondering what ‘his rarely seen but worthy second film’ is, the answer is The Twelve Chairs, a comedy made in 1970 with Ron Moody, Frank Langella and Dom DeLuise, based on a Russian comic novel. I saw it many years ago and found it gently amusing, with good performances from the leads, but it

It’s ‘Tickle Me Elmo’, not ‘Blow Me Up Elmo’ which, as we all know, is a great song by The Foundations.

Korando, Musso, Rexton, Actyon, Rodius/Stavic, Kyron, Istana and Kallista are actually my lawyers.

My favourite! Completely blank-labelled unidentified clear liquor!

The last thing those in the pic need is more booze. The blonde may shortly need a straitjacket.

I know someone who starts every day with a very large mug of coffee, half of which is instant, made strong, topped up by one of those 330ml cans of mixed expresso and milk. His friends can’t decide what will happen first - the inevitable workplace massacre or his heart explodes.

If you like mythical / historical kitchen stuff look up Dr. Annie Grey, a terrific British scholar in ancient / medieval / historical food and cookery whose work is not only fascinating and deeply researched but is also very entertaining and funny. Adore her work and she’s also not exactly painful on the eyeballs.

Casu Marzu was available in Italy until at least the early 80s, although largely from farms, not shops.

He was also terrific in another early Charles Band pic, Zone Troopers, a delightfully entertaining WWII / sci-fi outing. A brilliant character actor who I always enjoyed seeing on screen.

During the Eighties there were at least three iterations of The Four Tops ceaselessly touring Europe at the same time, one of which apparently did actually have a ex-member.

That also looks to be very solid and dense. Hit somebody in the face with that and you’ll break their nose.
