Check out the flawed but rather underrated 2017 pic Bushwick, even though it has the utterly preposterous idea of far-right militias taking to the streets to try to take over by essentially starting civil war in major US cities with co-ordinated attacks, random violence and bombings. Wow, how do these writers think

So that’s why I’ve been craving it all these years.....

You mean the powder-up.

‘..., which was somehow also an extended commercial for Old Spice.’  Thanks Mike, just used the last of the kitchen roll mopping up the tea I spilt / coughed up....

I’ve had horse in France. Very lean and slightly gamey. I like it but I can see why it obviously wouldn’t appeal to everybody.

Eons ago, i.e. the mid-70s, Smiths, a British crisp /chip company, introduced apple flavour crisps. Not the apple chips we have today, as in dried actual apple, but apple-flavoured potato crisps. I think they also did a lemon version. I saw the packets on the shelves but never tried them, and they weren’t around for

I’m just delighted to find that there’s a town called Salmon Gums in Western Australia.

Mr. Freedom is a fabulous pic. I saw it in Paris many years ago and loved it. Now it seems only to be available as part 0f a Criterion box set of William Klein films and not separately.

Having seen the trailer to this I can heartily recommend the pic it’s based on, the French thriller L’Convoyeur, with a young(ish) Jean Dujardin and a tight 94 minute running time. You know the Ritchie version is going to be well in excess of two hours.

Beria, the one man who could actually make Stalin look humane, compassionate and sympathetic. Truly one of the worst human beings to have ever drawn breath, David Suchet played him as a scheming, sycophantic jester to Colin Blakely’s Stalin in Jack Gold’s underrated Red Monarch -

And the 22-hour siege at the taco stand when Rex Guacamole had a psychotic episode...

His first name is Addison, or Addy.

What size batteries does it take? I’m assuming it’s battery-powered....

‘... but unfortunately one of the side effects was that one of my thumbs fell off...’

.... and what he did with the straw......

This is just delightful! Having had a bit of a rough day this is a brilliant pick-up.

No, you cannot stab someone with a blood icicle like Sub-Zero in Mortal Kombat

Okay...... but only because you said ‘please’.

A beak of fans.
