I had an opportunity to check out the sleeping quarters for both pilot and cabin crew on a 747-400 series. It’s amazing where they can put them in. Long-haul flights will have two sets of crews to keep them fresh to fly and serve.

There were even crew rest areas back in the DC-6 days. Airplanes have been flying long duration flights for a long time.

Wow. Insurance is impossibly expensive in America if this is the cheapest you can get. I comprehensively insure an Elise with unlimited miles, that’s parked in a carpark, regularly daily driven and has full recovery from anywhere in Europe for a fraction of this cost?!?!?!
