WHY ARE “RECENT VIDEOS FROM DEADSPIN” AUTO-PLAYING. MAKE IT STOP. I AM SO FUCKING DONE JESUS FUCKING CHRIST QUIT RUINING DEADSPIN.

I would say it’s very questionable whether he was actually good. The guy finishes with a career 60.3% completion rate and a 116-116 record, both completely average. Led the league in interceptions three times en route to 241 of them, never broke 70 QBR once in a single season, hasn’t had a double-digit win team this

I guess to put it into perspective, half a billion dollars is less than half of what Netflix nets in one month just from subscriptions.

The price is likely for more than just the US rights. In the UK Seinfeld never really caught on, my folks say it wasn’t really a thing here in the 90s and I’m sure I’ve never seen a rerun of it show up on broadcast TV. The only real way to watch it without piracy is to buy the DVDS. A convenient way to watch it for us

Netflix is very protective of their viewership data, but I believe (could be wrong) that Friends was the most watched show on Netflix by a wide margin. Apparently a not insignificant number of people used Netflix as not much more than a Friends-delivery-machine. I’m guessing Netflix hopes Seinfeld fills that same gap.

I guess I don’t understand the logic that these streaming companies make when it comes to exclusivity deals like this. I just don’t see how Seinfeld, or Friends, or The Office moves the needle in any direction. As popular as they might be, I can’t fathom paying over half a billion dollars for any of them. I’m not

Netflix is a subscription service that gets users access to many shows and movies. No single show or movie will likely be the make-or-break for a user, but the whole package of options does make a difference. Netflix has simply made the decision (right or wrong, we don’t know) that spending this money on Seinfeld will

This aged pretty poorly, no?

God, I miss the combat from FFXIII. Just give me more of that without the 15 hours of tutorial on the front end.

Probably has something to do with the fact that they turned a $60 game into a $140 one with 3 expansions. Who fuckin thought that would work again?

Veterans Day is in November, idiot.

It's worth it for 1440x144 imo. Our esteemed host definitely does grasp that 4k is nice, but to me I think the biggest thing is the ability to peg a AAA title at your frequency cap. I really notice the stutters when my 1080 hits its limits.

I have a 1080ti and I actually prefer gaming in 1440p over 4K. I raced to the 4K benchmark and when I got there and got the performance I wanted, I was like, “Is this really that much better than 2K?”. 4K gaming at 60fps requires a lot of fiddling with settings. I can pretty much just crank everything to high on 1440p

Soft or hard?

The offensive line statistically played worse than Peterman.

I think, between this and the annual Williams-Sonoma catalog review, we have learned that Drew needs to do more catalog reviews.

If I wanted to watch a big hunking turd barely float its way into a bowl, I’d rewatch the last season of Peyton Manning’s career.

Not the first time someone fucked up at the US Open.

Here’s a good lesson for you kids out there: never take joy in anything because it doesn’t ultimately matter.
