I’m really excited to buy this game on again on Switch. I played about 20 hours on PC and stopped myself cuz I wanted to wait for it to leave early access and I wanted to wait for it on Switch. It’s a ton of fun. Also year of playing Magic makes it hard for me to swallow any advice that says not to always cut as many

It’s not. Generally when people decide to do things it’s a good idea to educate yourself on how to do them well. I had a very time consuming and stressful job at the time and a long commute and I used to read a lot of books when I was younger but lost that when I got older. After reading a those articles and doing

Best video game review I’ve ever seen.

When I decided I wanted to become a seriously active reader I read several articles on how to read effectively and one of the most common pieces of advice was “just start reading”. This totally applies to games as well. Usually your gut has some sort of random feeling one way or another - just go with your gut and

I was just wondering to myself “well 3 straight years of some of the best games ever made being indie games can’t possibly continue” but it looks like I may end up being wrong....it makes me so happy to see all this amazing stuff being made. So excited!

nothing to do with nostalgia - i’m just responding to the video posted. In all the shot comparisons I think the game direction and shots and music are way better in the original. Maybe that’s not the case for the whole game, I dunno, but judging by those shots that’s my take away.

you’re either trolling or not actually reading what I wrote.

are you trolling?

lol well I can’t speak for the rest of the game, but the clips above in the side by side comparison....the new voice overs are only a bit better than the original.

The music and direction is sooo much better in the original and somehow the voice acting in the new one is....not actually that much better? Also the color usage and monster weirdness is better in the original as well, which just goes to show you can do a pretty good monster with just a few polygons heh. Look at the G

yea i think the motion controls is definitely one thing they would have to improve upon but it could definitely be done. At the time that was just standard motion controls, whereas the cameras were an artistic choice. Considering all games can do now...I’m sure they could have managed it.

you can fix all that and still keep the camera angles. The early RE games are already designed around corners and blocking vision, etc. they could have just done tweaking to wherever needed and kept the angles, either by pulling the camera back, or shifting it to more logical corners when looking down a straight path,

I don’t understand why people hate on the camera angles so much. The camera angles are one of the best parts of the originals and probably the most memorable thing to me about the games. I’m a huge horror fan and, having just re-watched Hereditary, I can objectively state that camera angles are crucially important in

yup, that’s why I said it’s not always bad and some games work gritty. Still, gritty dark games are prioritized over fun colorful ones in the AAA market. There’s so much potential for different types of games and game worlds and instead we get a lot of homogeneity of the most boring color palette.

Pikmin blew my fuckin mind when it came out. Me, my girlfriend, and my roommate’s boyfriend would play for fucking hours in my room to the point where my roommate still remembers the game negatively for stealing all his boyfriend’s time lol. It was just so fucking good, the levels were so awesome, it was so beautiful

It would be awesome even just to have the credit of “bed designer” in FF7....

Your response shows to me you’re just making up things and have no clue what you’re talking about. Go do some research or go work in social services or health care and you’ll then understand what I’m talking about.

ugh I want to play this game so bad because I know I’ll love it but I’m waiting for it to leave early access exactly because of stuff like this. It’s the same reason I only played Factorio for a bit cuz I want to play a complete campaign, that’s more up my alley than just the free for all mode which I’ll probly play

People are gonna use problematic things to get answers when society fails them. I’m not upset by a list that will mostly help people, even though I know the list is not a good thing. The thing I actually am gonna spend my energy and anger on is sexual assault and harassment - focusing on that is the only way to

Again, I think you’re doing an all or nothing thing. I also agree people should stop murdering, stealing, and littering, and there are studies on all that and how to reduce those actions. Will they ever completely end? No, but I’m pretty sure the less murder the better is a good thing.
