thanks! And yeah, I agree to that. What I meant was that, unlike shooters, there is not very detailed aiming and fast paced action, which means the increased reliance on combat in those extra episodes is.....ridiculous. If you miss one shot, which is MUCH easier to do in RE than, say... I dunno, Doom or whatever, then Read more

dang I didn’t know that about the difficulty! personally I didn’t find it very hard, but I also definitely used as little ammo/heals etc. as possible and ran by a lotta zombies, so maybe that’s why I didn’t have too bad a time. I’m terrible at aiming so I tried to only kill those that I knew I wouldn’t be able to Read more

Every additional month after playing Control i think about it and love it more. And the DLC is this month! like...in a couple days? very excited to see the reception of it. I hope it’s great! Read more

yeah, some of the journal entries were alright, but the simple fact that the font is too small was enough to put me off reading more than a few of them. Read more

yea that part of the combat is the only part I actually liked. I wish it wasn’t overflowing with way too many items and inventory management, but the idea of readying yourself before fights and having some options of spells, equipment, oils, items, etc. is cool. I imagine for some folks obviously the combat clicks but Read more

I am curious to see how Cyberpunk turns out HOWEVER unless everyone I know who doesn’t like the Witcher 3 tells me it’s totally different and worth playing, I won’t have any interest in playing it. Being a huge scifi fan it just strikes me already as a very shallow misunderstanding of what the best aspects of scifi Read more

i’m at the end of dark souls 2 and trying to do the DLC before the final boss....kinda getting lost with the DLC cuz it’s very large heh. I was thinking about trying to platinum it (playing on ps4) buttttt then i looked up the trophy reqs and was like “why do people make such stupid ridiculous trophies” so i’m not Read more

I’m curious how the price is gonna turn out. My friends and I agreed that we are NOT getting into the same bullshit we got into the last console generation - I have a few close friends I (try) to play games with. This time around we are all getting the same console, the same games on the same consoles, etc. I am Read more

Doom is so freaking good its ridiculous. I replayed Doom 1 and 2 last year and goddamn....unbelievable game design. Doom 1 is on my short list of flawless perfect games. I’m excited to play Doom64 on Switch when it comes out! Read more

OHHHHHH i was thinking of the quantum trials this whole time haha i thought that was a tower too? yea Brittle Hollow is the messiest of all the planets I think. It is awesome but...it needed to be a bit more simple in its mapping. Some stuff I just straight up did not see even tho I was running around on it for hours.

I see that more from the perspective that corporations make that kind of stuff on purpose because they know the feedback loop is easier to create and is addictive compared to making genuinely creative art. Big games are pushed out far too quickly most of the time so filling it with junk is easier than trying new Read more

the clue about the tower in the souther observatory is that theres a tornado that spins the opposite way from the others, that tornado shoots you under the current when you go into it which is what lets you go enter the quantum tower area from below. Read more

yea you make some fair points. In terms of it being a sequel....lots of games are sequels and they still manage to tell a coherent story. This game I understood what was in the previous games from them referencing his amnesia, issues with the witches, etc. etc. The core story of this specific game just...was barely Read more

IMO that kinda thinking is part of the problem - just having a lot MORE of voice acting and side quests doesn’t have anything to do with quality. Just like having a bigger map in Witcher 3 than Skyrim has nothing to do with if the map is any good.

overabundance of loot is a fucking plague in every AAA game and I hate it. As someone who plays traditional Dungeons and Dragons and thinking on how all these RPG elements in games stem from that, the fact that in DnD you can play for months and get just a few items and it somehow, over time, got translated in games Read more

yea I get that, for me personally, I’m fine with most of those things. I generally like most or basically all genres of games, I just feel like the open world genre is extremely technically demanding and too much is sacrificed in the name of graphics. I think BOTW stands out there because while the game is beautiful Read more

i have no idea haha! i think that’s part of the thing, I don’t think anyone has a solid definition of what open world is, but you could definitely make a list of common things it has. I think Minecraft is considered a sandbox game only, but it is also literally open world so.....?

hey I mean, it is just my opinion. Obviously I tore into the game, I DO think there are some fundamental problems that are not discussed by fans, but there are also some things I really disliked that I could see other people enjoying. And there were actually individual quests and NPCs that I liked a lot (and also wish Read more
