unbelievable.
OH MY GOD WHERE THE HELL DID THIS COME FROM!?!?!??!
I love to write but I learned a few years ago that long form writing was just not gonna happen for me. I want to but I don’t have the discipline or commitment. I’d write a darft or part of a draft for a short story, maybe revisit it once, and that was it. Now I write in my journal or short articles or mini stories and…
Damn Jason, good luck on your next move! You’re one of the reasons I started regularly reading Kotaku, which in turn led me to write on my own time about games for fun. I have no interest and not enough talent to ever do it professionally, but it is really relaxing and a great way to get my thoughts out of my brain,…
damn this looks awesome and relaxing, definitely gonna check it out. I love the art style!
i feel more or less the same way, but i’m also like whatever, people can have fun playing whatever they want. Personally, I just really want more variety in multiplayer games. I’d hoped successful multiplayer games like dead by daylight, various survival games, overcooked, rocket league, etc. would make big companies…
you’ll be fine just DO NOT click the last bonfire after you beat the boss.
yo give this man a million dollars and release this officially NOW. I want to play this NOW. Seriously this would be my favorite work out of all goddamn time. I am far too computer illiterate I’m sure to figure out what the hell he did so please Nintendo and FromSoftware, please...
really fantastic review. You’ve won me over. I also have been (and am) skeptical of how this will turn out overall. With so little information I can only assume this is gonna take a long time and might never finish at all. But with a review this good, and that there’s some interesting totally new stuff to look for,…
really curious to see if the Dark Crystal game is actually good. I love tactics games, but you never know how they’re gonna come out.
100% achiev Cuphead is probly the hardest thing I’ve done. There’s games that are just plain hard that I loved that were incredibly well designed. Celeste, Darkest Dungeon, Hollow Knight - a lot of recent indies that are so polished the difficulty never feels cheap or like bad design.
what a phenomenal article and yet another example of why I love Kotaku
everyone please play Outer Wilds
what a fantastic year...the last half of this decade has truly moved gaming up into a whole new level of quality. It’s interesting because it’s totally outside of console generations, it’s not tied to any one system or any one change, it’s just developers have really built on decades of experience and skill to produce…
100% facts
y’all are so over emotional. The opening to the game is very badly written. Maybe if you took two seconds to read that i said “SO FAR” and “THE OPENING” like 50 times in these comments you’d remember that the opening IS BAD. Every person I know who has played it, everyone in these comments who actually responds to…
if you’re teaching your students that character development is to put hot women who wanna fuck your protagonist everywhere is good writing i pity your class.
honestly, that is a good tip, but it’s a hard sell to me. I played Bloodborne before this, which originally came out a couple months before Witcher 3. The combat is so fluid, so responsive, it’s amazing. Then I started Witcher 3 and jesus christ, it is SO unresponsive, so slow and clunky. People keep saying oh it’s a…
I think people’s expectations for video games are so wildly low they’ll settle for anything that resembles some sort of dramatic seriousness. In any other medium the writing would be considered an absolute joke. Maybe that’ll change as I go on, but it isn’t any better than a 14 year old boy’s fanfic so far. Geralt is…
