it will forever boggle my mind how massive multi-billion dollar companies don’t have the simplest most obvious things available. Why is everything so poorly designed? Like I’m not even remotely an expert on any of this but like.....what is even going on with the shop?

It’s sad, but unsurprising, that video games have followed all media in becoming greed driven mass consumer mediocrity. yeah I have no idea. I know legal rights can be ludicrously complex so who knows, I’m just guessing :) It is just bizarre they left it out....like it’s a very obvious empty space. There’s gotta be some reason?

it really makes logical sense to have their backlog available via an online service like they’re doing. Obviously the backlog should be MUCH larger, but the days of buying old games over and over are clearly coming towards an end. A spotify of old video games is very needed, there’s just SUCH a huge library at this…

when they announced a Katamari remaster for Switch i actually stood up, threw my fist in the air and shouted “YES!!!!” I haven’t played it since it first came out.

Your discussion on Destiny and mentioning what it “could be” reminds me of what I think about so many AAA games - imagine if they spent as much time, money, and effort on writing and world building as they did on cut scenes and explosions and graphics.
