yea I basically had the same issue. I tried starting Banner Saga 1 three times and every time the combat was brutally boring and slow, I just had to stop. I love the art, I love turn based strategy games, I love grid strategy, I loved the themes and writing, but god the combat...I just couldn’t do it. To hear it’s the

I think the thing is, as much as the overarching plot is absolutely bananas, there are always some great secondary plots going on. There’s always awesome interesting new characters in every expansion, even if the overarching reasons they’re there are....a bit crazy. I loved Northrend in Wratch, I really enjoyed all

yea they dropped the ball on Cairne’s son. Cairne was my favorite character from Warcraft 3, I thought his death (while it made me sad) was a good plot choice because I actually liked the whole corrupt Garrosh storyline....but it almost feels like there was no reaction to the Horde being taken over by corruption,

haha yeah, I mean....I love Warcraft but it’s not like the writers are winning any literature awards. Though I would argue that for a large period in early WoW and Warcraft 3 the Horde had the moral highground and that Thrall was probably the best leader of either side. In fact, looking back on it all, if they had let

awesome little details - the golf commentators and advertisements on TV in your house in Golf Story. They are SO hilarious, I would watch them for several minutes every time I spawned in my house.

I just have one word for y’all....

yea that’s part of it too - she’s always been portrayed (as far as I’ve seen) as knowing exactly what she’s doing, regardless of how evil or not it is, but with this it just seems like some random elf annoyed her so she was like meh fuck it.

well i haven’t read that but meh, i mean, that’s a pretty common reaction during war. I think it’s wrong and stupid but if we’re gonna draw moral judgements on fictional characters....deserting an army during war is punishable by execution in the US right now so....I guess she’s not any more evil than the US

I was thinking in terms of leaders of the Horde and Alliance, not faction leaders. Though in all honesty it’s kind of all over the place who is leading what and where. I mean I’d pretty much consider Jaina the head of the Alliance a lot of times. Anyway, your point is fair, there are definitely faction heads who are

My fave part of the game is that endgame - I feel like the platforming and the bosses all lead up to the hardest platforming and hardest boss of all and you have to use all your knowledge and skill to get through it. I think it’s perfect....loved it so much, and I loved the aesthetic of the dreamworld being the true

I think you’re missing the point of the Forsaken. Sylvannas does anything she can to defend her own people and does not care about the methods because her people are seen as pure evil and freakshows by all the living races. She has no problem killing anyone with any method if it means defending the Forsaken. She also

Honestly...you just can’t expect so many writers over so many years to be able to keep one story thread. Especially since the primary driving factor is money and not art. The Sylvanas reveal is really disappointing to longterm Horde-lore fans. The PRIMARY theme in Warcraft that has kept the plot alive for so many

recently....7 days to die. The game, like all survival open world games, is garbage, but you can play in PVE mode only and just build up a cool fortress like in minecraft. I jus turn the music volume down and put on a podcast, it’s a lotta fun.

more affordable, incredible first party games (ps4 is the only console that can say the same), PORTABLE which makes such a huge difference its ridiculous, huge amount of indie titles many of which lend themselves more to being portable than other games (Hollow Knight on long trips is a godsend)

Looking at the numbers it’s no wonder they made the Switch handheld and console. DS dominates everything.

Hollow Knight is 35-40 hours if you want to beat the real boss :) There are tons of incredible games for switch, as many as any other console. The only place it lacks are AAA games, and the difference isn’t THAT huge when you take into account Switch being out far less time and having their own great switch-only games.

yeah that is definitely true. You definitely want a good DM - have you tried DMing? It’s not for everyone, but it can also grow on you...I used to think I just wanted to be the player but now I kinda prefer being the DM. Maybe you should be the one running the campaigns :)

Spirit of the Century sounds cool! Haven’t checked that out but it sounds kiiiinda familiar? Indiana Jones style RPG would be tons of fun!

And I second Cortex/Firefly :)

It all sounds good but....I have not played a single online multiplayer game that is open world in some way that has actually been good since WoW came out and changed everything. The only online multiplayer that’s fun is competitive games because they’re very clear cut - I think the popularity of Fortnite, Overwatch,

Hey what’s a good idea? Hmmm...well personally, I think we should destroy public transportation that requires training and regular exams and supervision and replace it with giving every 16 year old child in the US access to huge deadly machines and only get tested once in their lifetimes. - American corporations
