The Devil Drives a Mustang (Rotary Pending)

Its more than a bit disingenuous to classify the Bullitt Mustangs as “just a more expensive GT”. No doubt most people can google a spec sheet, but there’s always been a lot going on that isn’t standard on the other trims.

Destroying GM vehicles as a Jalopnik writer.

Nice. I have a 2017 mustang and a 2017 Pacifica for the wife. The mustang averages 25mpg (not driven slow) and the minivan is like 23 with mostly short drives. On long trips we get like 28+ though. And we do several long ones a year. 2 kids and 2 dogs works great. I had an X3 and a xc90 before that did the same trips

This is where I was in January of this year, more or less. My car got hit and the repair shop was uncertain if they could get the parts to fix it. It seemed highly likely that it would be totaled instead. We talked about it in my house and decided that if that happened I wouldn’t be buying another car anytime soon. We

You can buy food directly from farmers. You can buy clothing directly from the person who sews it. You can buy jewelry direct from an artist. Etc, etc. There’s no law that requires you to buy these items through a middleman, as there is with cars.

Alternate recommendation :P

I’m sure this won’t be a popular idea on Jalopnik, but a better long term solution is to push for your town to build better public transit and protected bike paths. I love driving. I pretty much won’t buy a vehicle without a stickshift because I love climbing through the gears and hitting that sweet rev-matched

Good writeup. These are absolutely stunning in person. Every retired boomer who goes out and buys a 911 actually wanted one of these, they just didn’t know it at the time.

I don’t know if you realize, but a car only looks cool if the driver is sitting in the back half.

My Golf GTI without hybrid anything gets 34MPG highway. And it has a manual

Diesels in USA were using way less fuel than what EPA rated them. TDI were rated at 37 and got 45MPG highway

With the exception of the old NE cities and Chicago - hardly any commuting is into the urban core anymore. It’s all suburb to suburb, which is what makes public transit so hard in so many American cities. Most of the jobs have decamped to suburban office parks.

The question is “what is Urban?”

Red Bull costs you wiiiiiiings!

Same. If we had a party made up of The Squad and other young progressives, I’d be voting for them.

Poor Jalopnik. https://jalopnik.com/this-is-the-best-takedown-of-the-speed-kills-myth-you-1302382244

I can state without any hesitation that I would never, ever buy a car with even ONE of these features installed.

I won’t even leave my office until I have a quote in hand.”
