The Devil Drives a Mustang (Rotary Pending)

Good point.  I was speaking off the cuff quickly at work when I should be working and thinking in terms of a Texan.  Here the cycling season is effectively reversed.  The bikes get put up for the hot as hell summer and taken out from September to June.

The way I see it, this plays out one of three ways.

Eustace?  I mean, there are a lot of small < 1,000 person towns, but your description kinda reminds me of Eustace, TX.

If God forbid one of the many, many red light runners in Dallas were to T-bone and total my Mustang I can think of worse places to wait out elevated car prices than a Mirage.

I am surprised that noone has brought up the Ariel Square Four yet. Same basic principle but with all cylinders in a single block. Two crankshafts in parallel that are geared together at their flywheels.

If you think about it, the Bronco (non-sport) is a bit of an odd duck. With an independent front suspension it’s not a hardcore off road rock crawler like the Wrangler. From that point of view it’s more of a Toyota 4Runner competitor than a Wrangler competitor. It’s even the same basic concept; take your company’s

I had a similar thought. “Hey! That’s great, good job guys! Now, could you maybe be like this all the time? Each and every one of you?”.

The Aston Martin Cygnet was basically this:

It’s the DoD.  So probably.

To be honest, they barely did. The Wasp Major was years late and millions over budget (billions in today’s dollars?) and was bedeviled by severe problems. Particular with engines catching fire.

That’s because, while outlining the details of the mighty Honda CR-V that I’d chosen for my first road trip in the US, I dropped this little truth bomb:

I am going to be an insufferable topper here. Imagine having to change the spark plugs on this:

The bent tube or the three-spoked chrome spearhead?

I mean, Maryland was a slave-state. So DC kinda was in “the South” during the Civil War. The fact that Maryland was a slave state was a major problem; a Washington DC as a Union Enclave inside CSA territory was simply not acceptable. Had Maryland seceded I suspect the government would have relocated.

I can’t think of a single GM vehicle that is class leading

Most of us have moved on to newer devices that don’t rely on this network anymore, with one possible exception: your car.

I am starting to wonder at what point will we see the working poor start to move to scooters and small motorcycles.

There are plenty of full-sized SUVs with 20 gallon plus tanks, but I have not been able to find a current car with a tank in the range of 20-21 gallons that also gets around 13-15 MPG.
