A few years ago I bought a new Ford from a dealer here in Dallas. They held my hand through the whole process. It was really creepy; the guy even walked me into the finance office like that, hand in hand.

This is one of those rare times, the only one I can think of, where the front license plate is an improvement to the design.
It’s been almost 25 years, so my memory is hazy, but I think his was 2WD. He was like 19, and what he could afford.
Many years ago in the late 90's, I had a coworker who had a Dodge Ram 1500 single cab/short bed with a V8 (318 I think?) and a stick shift. Thing was like a truck that wanted to be a Miata.
I do believe he was being tongue and cheek on it.
Yeah, I wouldn’t hold out much hope I am afraid.
Take the Ford Super Gnat concept car from 1981, for example. Looking like a lot like a shortened F0x-body Mustang hatch, the Super Gnat was supposed to be a vision of a small car that could fit full-sized Americans inside.
CP all the way except that I can’t stop giggling at the image in my head of me driving around town in a pink Cadillac. So NP. Not because it’s worth $6,500, but it gets that vote for making me smile.
Someone told me this trick some years ago and it seems to work. At least it did 10 years ago when I had my Ninja 250R. I was told not to drive right over the middle of the sensor, but instead over one of the cut lines in the concrete for the sensor. Either right or left side, doesn’t matter.
If he were still alive, I think my grandfather would agree with you.
+1 Here. I had them on two different cars and they never bothered me.
epic games store is bad and new but not evil.
My grandfather mentioned that in Korea the M38 jeeps had a tendency to roll over if you weren’t careful.
I don’t get too hung up on a car’s exterior styling. I don’t want it to be ugly, and it’s nice to see a good looking car in a parking lot that’s mine, but at the end of the day it’s not like I am driving around with my head 20 feet out the window admiring my own car and I don’t really care what others think of my car.
That’s a damn good point. I wonder what aftermarket support will be like on Teslas.
I will give you Enzo Ferrari and Henry Ford. Sometimes you do get these larger than life CEO’s that draw attention. But I wouldn’t say that Martin Winkerton, Ferdinand Piech, or Carlos Ghosn ever really made a spectacle of themselves.
