Dear Azealia Banks,

I love this story. Make it into a movie.

I'm in a sci-fi club. Some of my friends have really great costumes. Mostly Star Trek to start with, but other stuff too.

"As a palate cleanser for the last two weeks, please enjoy some stories of terrible customers receiving their just rewards."

I think you may be overthinking a song written for a kids' movie. Just a bit.

My coed ~400-person dorm in college had unisex bathrooms. We all peed, pooped, and showered next to each other, and during the four years that I was there we did not have one single reported sexual assault in our entire dorm - not in the bathrooms, not in the rooms, not during parties, nothing (and as for any

Agyness Deyn

He turns to his bright-eyed eight year old, sitting but two feet from me, and says, "You see son? This is why you should stay in school."(FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU)

Some of my aunties have this kind of hair too and it gives me the same vibe. I know a lot of science-loving but also a bit crunchy/granola women who rock that style and it does send a "smart, sensitive, arty, intellectual" vibe that I find comforting. I just love this so much! and she has a real smile in that photo which frankly is already better than 99% of politicians.

For a second I thought you were fucking Hagrid. Thank God you weren't.

One of the things that I am truly loving about the rise of trans issues in the public limelight is that we have so many great representatives who are women of color. It's amazing how much things have changed, even in the past five years, and I'm looking forward to seeing what the future will hold!

*cries*

As a Christian, this breaks my heart. Jesus was always someone who stood up to social and cultural rules that get in the way of the larger principles of loving God and loving one another. He said that people would know who and what we are by our fruits, and the fruits these parents have produced are sorrow and grief.

It's really frustrating and difficult. On the one hand, I don't think it's productive, necessarily, to just cut someone out of your life over something like this (and to be clear, this wasn't a guy who was cheering either verdict- he acknowledged that the Garner verdict in particular seemed way off base, but he also

Dammit Jez I am PMSing hard and the youths coming together for something that actually MATTERS is making me all teary in public.

It bears repeating:

So every genre of storytelling except for autobiography is arrogant. Checks out.

Well, a lot of us believe in the power of prayer, but it's the bigger picture that's also quite effective. People see these hashtags, and at least a minority of them go like, "Hmm, wonder what this is about?" and then a couple of them actually join a protest/boycott movement/relief organization. So yeah, I guess it
