Same. I used to study to jazz music in law school, but it was too relaxing and I would often fall asleep while reading. I found house/techno helped keep me awake better. 

I like to cook to deep house music. That probably makes me weird, but the tempo kind of keeps me focused.

I second this notion. I’m an MSU alum, so I’m not too thrilled with my alma mater these days. As such, my favorite team is cheering for U of M to lose. I can’t stand their fans and their infinite delusions about the quality of their team.
