This prosecutor perfectly illustrates why cops and prosecutors are total shit. They don’t care about solving crimes. They care about convicting people. Usually, once they have a suspect(s) - that’s it. They just zero in on that person or persons - exculpatory evidence be damned. 

This coward couldn’t even narc on his own? He enlisted the clerk? If I were that clerk I would have told him to fuck off. 

Chauncey was not a bona fide star in 2004. Perhaps in the years after. Ben was a one way player, albeit an amazing defender. Rip was similar to Chauncey - he developed into a “star” over his years with the Pistons. 2004 was he and Chauncey’s second year there. None of these guys were “Super Stars.” 

But listen, have you ever cheered for a dull-but-successful team in your life? I bet you have, and I bet you were willing to adopt ANY stance necessary to justify their unsightly play. “A win’s a win!”

Being fired was not too harsh. I would posit that being fired would only meet the bare minimum of what the punishment should be. He demonstrated he’s a racist. He should be banned from being a cop. He clearly is unqualified and can’t be trusted with the power to lock people up. 

And the law student has arrived. 

If he doesn’t cremate Gawker’s corpse, but instead tries to revive it, it’s a sure thing that the result will be substantially dumber than the original thing.

I might have missed it, but is Milam still alive? If not, I don’t really see the point of reopening the case (aside from some from of symbolic justice?). Convicting dead guys for being racist, murderous bastards doesn’t really seem to fit into any reasonable definition of “justice.”
