I discovered that site/office when my local high school banned seniors from using Ginsberg in their history of American poetry projects. The ALA helped overturn that and now there’s even an assigned Ginsberg poem in the honors class.

The list of banned books is hilarious/enraging. My favorite has always been “The Wizard of Oz,” which has been getting banned since it first came out due to witchcraft, socialist undertones, a young girl travelling with men, and/or “having no relevance to modern youth.”

There are kids who would eat that book.

Whoa. I don’t think anything is rosy. I think you totally misinterpreted my tone. We’re on the same team. My sole point was that once they achieved their goal of murdering him, that contributed to the drop. As you noted, his clinic was closed for part of the reporting period.

The assassination of Dr. Tiller alone stopped so much. Even though his clinic is still open, the most radical attacks and threats have stopped.
