We went with a Tonkinese. She is a very pleasant cat. We were awed by how well she fits the breed profile (now two+ years old). She likes to come and lay on my son’s calves while he is on the couch,for example.

I bought an expensive cat from a local breeder. The reasons are that I wanted the breed to be family-friendly and safe around my baby, and more importantly to know that the cat was carefully cared for and properly weaned from it’s mother.
