Hmmm. That’s interesting, especially for a YA series. I’ll admit to being

I literally knew nothing about the books other than the fact that The Golden Compass movie adaptation looked like a cheap coattail rider trying to balance The Hunger Games and Harry Potter, and it felt forgettable when I saw it at a press

I too would like to see the attack on Christianity aspects be made more explicit, especially for the American market. It’s pretty annoying our pop culture doesn’t go after Christianity, when real life and society provide very valid reasons to do so.

and his response was basically “wait, what??”

I much prefer DRINKING a Green Flash. https://www.greenflashbrew.com/

First, I had to get smart bulbs. Now I have to get smart blubs? Stupid technology. Or a typo.

So we’re going from “Star Wars ‘Kung Fu’” to “Star Wars ‘The Sopranos.’” Great. (Actually, Star Wars The Sopranos would be fun as hell.)

And the cross-promotional episode with The Californians where they spend the whole episode telling the joke in “The Aristocrats!”

Legit got into a two-day Twitter fight (yes, COVID has beat common sense into a quivering pulp) about using the term “latinx” as I have friends of that culture who prefer it in written (and some in conversational) use.

Tons of culture defenders trying to pile on about how “Spanish is already gender-specific” and how I

I think the takeaway from this point is very clear: Dream ballets suck and should be banned from movies and stage productions. Ballet stick to your lane!

(This is not sarcasm. I LOATHE the dream ballet in Oklahoma(!). Ruins the show for me.)

Eddie Murphy: Raw. Wonder how that holds up in 2020. Casting my memory back to watching it the late ‘80s, I can’t think of any problematic material in the entire special. Nope. Not a single thing.

An interesting bookend piece to Bill Cosby: Himself (1983).

Not necessarily a new take, but the music industry says “Hello and welcome, friend.”

Hix in stix nix pix unless Netflix

My kids loved this show when they were little and my younger one (12) still watches it as comfort food on our Plex. The thing I noticed, as “brilliant” as Schneider was supposed to be... the series REALLY leans into plots that feel Seinfeld-inspired in that later seasons after the attempt at the Friends-inspired

The underlying issues of his youth take a different outlook in older age. It’s easier to connect with the earlier music (even up through like Kill Uncle) because it still connected with more universal things. But at some point he outgrew that and what he changed into was... not great.

Contrast and compare with the Angry Young Man that was Elvis Costello. Diverse discography, some hits, some big-time misses. Still brings it, though and there’s a throughline in his work.

I remember 6th grade me thought the part where Clark shoots the security guard in the butt was the funniest thing in the world. Candy’s reaction for some reason just floored me. Still remember pausing and rewinding that moment over and over again, laughing my ass off.

Beastie Boys Story: The IMAX Experience

Hey, ladies!.... Get... Apple+ and watch this documentary.

Put anything on top of it? Why. I mean, the Foodi is a beast and the inability to completely remove the air fryer top is the one thing I would change about it, if it wouldn’t, you know, make it impossible to actually function as an air fryer . :)

It is a counter-space boss, though. Granted, I put away two other things

I wanted that (well really the rotatable fryer/oven) when I was buying mine. In the end, the size looked too small to really make an impact for the fryer. I would imagine that at 4 qts it would be the same here.
