John Goodman continues to crush it with a vigor that makes me think there might be something to the idea of Hollywood elites drinking blood to stay youthful (energetically, dude is looking old... in great shape for his age, but old.)

Also Edi Patterson and Tim Baltz forever on this show.

Meh. Funnier than “Vice Principals” in my book. Better supporting cast.

Ah, man. I was hoping this would be a look at the gritty world of thieves stealing speedboats. Not using them for other heists. Like Repo Man, but on the water.

I’d much rather see Wonka reframed as “Saw” than I would care to see more about his upbringing. Neither of the Wonka books, as far as I remember, go into his childhood.

Oliver was also doing The Bugle podcast while a writer on TDS. Anyone who followed that podcast knew exactly what LWT was going to be... and I’m glad it is. Riling people up is one thing in political comedy, educating the choir while also preaching to them is another. Oliver does that very well.

Yep. That spot’s not comin’ out. No matter what kind of perfumes you got from over there in that Arabia.

The issue that I see with criticisms of the second season are fair in some ways: This is a show that, apparently, did not foresee a second season to arc. So season one had a central focus on one character and looked at other characters as spokes from that hub.

Thanks for the info...

Point is more the cumulative impact of the parent setting the boundary of what is and isn’t a “good job.” I have two (now teen) athletes and my number one effort is following some of that advice from Carol Dweck (who is definitely worth reading) and empowering them by noticing the effort not the result.

Might be me, but I feel like The Other Two is not getting enough love ahead of the second season. Just discovered it a week or two ago and am FLYING through the first season. As an Earwolf fan, I was quite pleased to see Drew Tarver in it.

Exactly. It’s like holding Scrubs to task for not talking about healthcare insurance issues. This ain’t what it’s about.

My wife hated it. Extremely. Angrily commenting and sighing throughout.

Rewatching Succession as my wife is giving it another chance after bailing on it during the first season. Her problem with the show: There’s only so much you can take of rich people being shitty to each other. However she loved White Lotus. So maybe it’s an issue with when they get to the Roy family “Master of the

It would probably be connected by like the travel agent that Shane was always calling to fix things.
