I would add that you should really minimize rice/pasta/quinoa - they are extremely calorie dense compared to fruits/veggies. Also, I think order of best to worst would be quinoa/rice/pasta.

Hi Melanie,

Nah. You can get ground bison in most super markets these days. It's pricey, but is also damn good eats.

While I am not doing Adkins or Paleo or anything, I found that focusing on protein and veggies like above, and reducing carbs, is what finally worked for me. I cut out soda, easy, and about 90% of alcohol, and then I simply don't cook or order the bread, pasta, or rice dishes anymore. If carbs come up, like if

Coconut Milk EOS is my fave. If I could make out with it, I would. Oh, who am I kidding? I've totally made out with it.

Hmmmm....maybe i'll have to take up running. Or, f*ck it, i'll just eat more bacon and tell people i'm training for a marathon. Yes, that will do.

I doubt this will get my hour back, but I always use the time change to renew my bitterness and hatred for this outdated construct. That includes complaining about it to my friends, moaning about it on the internet, and looking through the WhiteHouse.gov petitions to see what fresh Anti-DST petitions I can sign.

Sir, whilst something of an antiquitarian myself I applaud the attempt to recreate the past but we British have perfected tea in the same way we perfected the flush toilet. Thus in the same manner as one does not routinely revert to open defection so one does not resort to Sino-barbaric ways of drinking tea. Good day

No waiting for the water to cool off after you boil it. A thermometer is useful when you want to know the exact temp. (just don't microwave the

Meh, too many rules, tea should be enjoyed anyway you can, and if you drink it all the time you just use whats the easiest thing to do(and I'm British, tea is basically our national religion). Also if you are using bags just buy good ones(preferably unbleached ones), not even from the tea merchant plenty retail teas

How else do you make it at a dorm when hot plates and electric kettles are banned?

I just realized, this entire article boils down to 'give Lifehacker ideas for future articles'.

Exercise: Pick up heavy things and move fast.

Emotional intelligence. Being able to communicate exactly how I feel instead of sticking my head in the sand.

Basic finance. My parents handled everything and didn't teach me about budgeting at all.

I like to demonize HFCS because it's a symbol of lots of things that are wrong with our agricultural policy, not because it's any worse for you than sugar. It's basically a way to get rid of corn that (too much of) was farmed because (in part) of government subsidies. Just like delicious corn-fed beef. Cows don't

Vote: OverDrive (app.overdrive.com)

It was a bad (and partially incorrect metaphor).

Except, unlike your scenario, you a) know that you have to leave in two years and b) putting some stuff in OneDrive is nowhere near comparable to moving stuff into a house.
