I don’t understand all the hate. It worked perfectly for me all day. Not a single issue. I think people are just stupid.

Being an elected representative shouldn’t be a family business. No more nepotism!

I don’t think we should hide things from out past. Shine a light, own it, have a conversation, learn from it and move forward. Pretending something didn’t happen because it makes us uncomfortable allows things to grow cancerously in the shadows. Sunlight is the best disinfectant.

Newport still does, I think.

That’s not how it works.

Agreed. There is a tendency nowadays to stimulate/entertain kids 24/7 with activities, playdates, sports, etc. I’ve noticed that my kids are happier, have more concentration in school and do better in general when they have some downtime. I’m a big fan of homework and schoolwork in general and would rather cut out

I agree! Deleted my FB account maybe 8 years ago. But I still wouldn’t base my opinion on some fictitious movie, is all.

The winds primarily blow out to sea. Any minuscule amount of smoke created by a handful of campfires at the beach literally affects nobody. Especially when compared to the millions of cars that pass by on the 405. The wind blows any pollution directly across the entire city of Huntington Beach (and all beach cities

Seemed to me that they humiliated themselves and looked really dumb.

I’m sure the people who wrote these nonsense ordinances don’t even cook at home. Their meals are likely prepared on gas-powered commercial cooktops in nice restaurants that they get to pay for on their publicly funded expense accounts.

It’s not. It’s also much more expensive and less effective (from a cook’s perspective). This is just yet another example of virtue signalers making up bullshit rules everybody has to abide by because it makes them feel better.

I slightly confused about what happened. Who yelled at the beginning? Why did the girl throw her racket? Seemed like the red-shorts girl was being the aggressive one.

Yes. It wasn’t a documentary. That movie was a highly stylized, dramatically enhanced work of fiction very loosely based on actual events. You’d think an adult human would understand how movies work.

You’re basing your opinion on a dramatic work of fiction? Ok then...

One more step in California’s slide into the garbage disposal. This state really has gone fucking crazy.

It doesn’t. But it sure does make knee-jerk dipshits who hold local office in uber-liberal areas of the country feel good.

All the better to coat your lungs in a nice oily sheen.

Why not just demand that all citizens hand over their DNA information? Let’s just go full 1984 and stop pretending that we’re not.

Do you understand how “vapor” is created, Mr. Dipshit?

Hey oh!!
