More than 1 game would be too much. A fine alone would be okay, too.

Nope.
There’s a good range in what could be thought of as an average slob, and by some definition, you might be talking about a guy that has a hard time reaching second base on balls hit into the outfield. If he’s truly that bad, his value is going to plummet. But if he’s just never going to go more than one base on a…
#2 was my thought. It’s the simplest explanation.
If you can prove you can’t get DirecTV, you can get Sunday Ticket through an alternative. A lot of people in apartments can’t get it.
I would argue that a foul ball that is caught cannot be referred to as “fouled off.” You would never hear the announcer say “Joe Blow fouled that ball off, and it was caught by the third baseman.” Fouled off denotes a not particularly squarely hit ball. More contact than a foul tip, but not by much.
No, your average slob is basically David Ortiz on the basepaths, a strictly station to station player.
No, because he would foul off all of those pitches. If I could foul off anything, I would swing the bat out of self preservation.
In other words, you don’t want to pay $150 to get everything you want, you want to pay less. Understandable I guess. I mean, I hate the cable companies too, but I pay because that is what it costs. The same reason I pay for anything else I want.
Same reason I always drive off without paying for gas. Rape my planet, I'll rape your bottom line!
That's why when I'm at a bar I know I'll never go back to, I just walk out without paying. But I leave a few bucks on the counter for the pub master.
Do you live on the Moon? $151 for standard cable? Did you ask for the Sucker Rate?
What do you think he said? My money is on “Mormons aren’t real Christians.”
You have no idea how many times and to what extent Harper was complaining.
I thought he was being sarcastic. Maybe I’m wrong.
The pitch was borderline, but so was the 4th pitch that was called a ball: http://www.brooksbaseball.net/pfxVB/pfx.php?…
I’d like to echo this congratulations for him being less of a baby than Joe West. A noble achievement.
Pitching him carefully, yes of course, but just basically refusing to pitch to him is dumb, which is why other teams are not doing that. Just like nobody walks Mike Trout every time even though a rotting corpse that used to be Albert Pujols “protects” him.
He’s not a sure out. He’s a major league hitter. And it wasn’t that it didn’t equal a second peak Bonds season, it wasn’t fucking close. The Nationals should be ecstatic if teams just give Harper a slew of free passes - he’d be even more valuable that way. So just take your shit and apply it to your own comment.
It appears blazer guy is getting attacked by 3-4 other guys. The fact that he’s doing alright is much more of an indictment of those other guys than a sign of fighting competence on his part.
