Actually, Tesla does like this, and they’re already in that market. They’re already set up to accept/buy older packs from customers and use those packs for grid storage.

Wait, is somebody actually trying to solve a problem before it gets out of hand and the government has to get involved? Are they allowed to do that?
I was in Portland Oregon in the early ‘90s and briefly dated a hippie chick who had a golden lab. So one day we got super baked (duh), went to the park with the dog, and then walked back to her car, which was parked on the top floor of a parking garage.
Only in your dreams, and Kim-Jong-Un’s, will he ever have enough firepower to annihilate the USA, or ever come close. In a few years he might be able to take out a small chunk of a city, which would definitely suck for the people who lived in that city, if he was lucky and the rocket didn’t fall to pieces on the way.…
Less about being bitter and more about trolling Mopar guys. They’re the affliction shirts of the car world, you see how worked up they get when I poke at them?
Outside of car shows,I’ve probably seen 3 on the road,so...yeah,I find them interesting. Then again,I saw this the other day in the parking lot and took a picture, which you’d probably find boring as well:
If I had to guess, you explained why they didn’t say one performed better than the other in your 2nd paragraph. If there aren’t many studies on shifting to lower wavelength blue vs. reducing light then it’s better they just lay out the facts of how both work, as the author did here.
I also wanted to come back and say that this article is awesome. More stuff like this please Jalopnik!
Why Buy A New BMW X3, When You Can Get A Sexy Ferrari 355 F1 Serviced?
Fuch that.
I am one of the settlement administrators, and I can say that we are being paid far above minimum wage. This is actually the highest paying job I’ve ever had, it’s $8.50/hour more than my last job (it’s full time work, and we are contractors so unfortunately there’s no health insurance but for the money I’m making,…
The term “operable” is defined in settlement.
That thing is ugly enough to make me want to claw my eyes out.
Mercedes R129.
Yeah, I hear ya. While it could certainly be argued that 3 place dims might be overkill on parts and assemblies on the scale of an automobile (or larger) but depending on the suspension components involved, changing caster, camber, toe-in/out, stagger, etc. can be quite touchy when out of spec by the smallest of…
That’s a pretty shitty place to be going that fast. Not that the cars couldn’t handle it, but you would be scaring the shit out of everyone around you and if something did go wrong then there would be nowhere to go. I-70 always has traffic.
You must work as a blacksmith then because I’ve been in Mechanical Engineering for 35 years and, even when I first started on a drafting table, critical dimensions on parts are routinely held to +/-.00x inches while non-critical dimensions are at +/-.0x inches on a regular basis. This is pretty standard for everything…
Actually, they’re asking for 3 sig. figs.
Being in the medical industry, this seems simple to me, however. We routinely hold our assemblies to 4 and 5 significant figs.
Also, we’re talking about degrees, not inches. +/- 0.01° is a standard tolerance for alignment specifications (toe alignment, in particular), even on…
The spec is a maximum, not an optimal. They’re not being told to keep the value from drifting up or down, just up.
You need better machine shops. We easily get .005" across 3+ft. .002" is mostly doable, but thermal expansion makes it really tough. Under that you need to have lots of money and a talented machineist. NASCAR has both of these.
