Not hard to imagine when you look at how few people from the last fucked up term have come back for more

Wall Street Journal today writes about new Cybertruck owners getting muddy trucks on delivery. Some other field?

America accepts the challenge

What about plates and insurance?

Not safe enough?

That blind spot

Distance would be great. I put less than 1k on each of my 2 cars annually.

Yeah bikes handle about 80-90% off my transportation needs in a 10 mile radius including work. Miata gets me MOST places, Mini van takes cars of my woodworking needs (plywood, rough lumber, etc) and hauling bikes to trails occasionally. I put gas in them about once every 3 months? NO IDEA what gas costs. Biggest $ is

Mine ride needed more

For me it’s a personal challenge: how few miles can I put on this each year? I’m well below 1000 miles a year each on my vehicles.

Vehicles should be taxed by weight and size for the damage they do to roads and danger they pose to others. If you own a big truck, it should be a work vehicle that pays for itself. If you buy it to haul a boat, that’s a luxury. EVs are heavy.. they pay less in gas tax so the weight tax makes up for it.

I bike just about everywhere but I still have a miata and a minivan to cover longer, haul-ier trips. 20k and 9k miles each, both bought used with cash in 2017 and 2019. I may have them the rest of my life if I avoid collisions. I have no made a car payment in 20 years.
No one cares about your car but you.
