Agreed, the Corvair is misunderstood. Great handling cars for the time period, can be made to be decently quick and even stock have enough scoot to fun on backroads especially the turbo. Speaking as a long time corvair driver.

Indeed. I’m 5'10" and the top of the bed on a modern full size pickup is about armpit height? Not real convenient for loading/unloading.

My 16 ram 2500 is freaking huge. Its really a pain in the ass to get in the bed.
