Something to consider is that this is someones memory of what happened, which could be inaccurate, filled in by the Animus as best as possible to make it more likely to seamlessly trigger the next memory.

I really enjoyed this game as far as I could play it. I probably got less than a third of the way through it, as I burned out on the dialogue. I’m the guy who has to do everything, and talk to everyone, and all the NPCs had different ways of saying the same things, eventually grinding conversation down to a chore.

Steam doesn’t need to save your birthday to clear the gates. They only need to verify your account once as a full privilege account, and flag it as such.

I keep almost being curious enough to try this game, and then this grindfest stuff keeps coming out that bats interest back down. Crates and keys at first, now temporary items? That smacks more of bad knockoff games made by shady companies rather than a modern monetization structure.

Nobody has ever been harassed in private. There is no hidden abuse. In the dark, predators only strike when surrounded by cheering crowds.

There is little more likely to cause me to not buy something than over advertising it. It correlates shadiness and tackiness to the brand. Some things I’ll never buy because of it: Zyppah, Geico, Mt. Sinai hospital?, anyone who advertises multiple times on the same episode being played on Hulu.

If you want a soulslike realtime RPG, play Dark Souls. If you want a soulslike action game, play Bloodborne.

Huh, I hadn’t realized anyone had an issue with the ending. By the time the robots showed up, I was so overpowered I didn’t even really notice a change. Blow up that group with fire mine, posses that one and shoot the others down, turbo shock, repeat.
