People can be punished and commended separately. Roman Polanski can be executed for being a terrible horrible person, while also being praised for creating a good movie. You don’t have to take the average, or disregard one in favor of the other.

I think the system needs to better indicate that you’re not buying the game, you’re donating a set amount of money in the hopes the game gets made. You also happen to get whatever they happen to have, as a gift in thanks for your donation. People aren’t getting that, and I wonder if Steam can better hand hold to pick
