Yeah I kinda thought that was obviously the whole point behind making the movie, to anthropomorphize Nature and the planet and use allegory to show how poorly we treat the environment and our fellow humans. 

Yeah because after finally seeing the movie I could only see like one or two moments where one could interpret Javier Bardem as “Gaslighting” Jennifer Lawrence. His character is sincere in his naivete and blind trust in these people invading the house. 

Dude this movie mocks, scorns, and laments HUMANITY. It just uses bible stories as a framework. Calm down. Well, this is almost a year later so I guess you’re probably pretty calm already. Carry on.
