BNow that i am the age of Jack Torrance it certainly changes the feel amd tone of The Shining. Instead of being about an abusive parent its about a young guy who had no business starting a family amd gives into bitterness instead of doing the responsible thing and owning up to his flaws and weaknesses. The resukt is

Chole Grace Moretz as New Carrie

Someone once suggested they shoukd have cast James Woods and dropped the native American angle... I want to go back in time and make them do that.

SSomeone could adapt The Library Policeman, as long as they jettison the actual Demonic Library Policeman with the lisp....

HHis speech about rats being trained by the ’Cong is worth the price of admission

Iove Stephen Macht in Graveyard Shift... “You should go on STAH SARHCH!” And the way he keeps calling David Andres “college boy” despite the actors appearing to be roughly the same age...

A little of column A, a lot of Column B...

Yrah, but he was a SLOB contractor...

Michael Keaton is a God.

I was 12 when it came out and it was so fun I even got over my disappointmwnt that it was an Indiana Jones clone instead of a horror/monster movie.

“I SAID I dont like EHHHGGGG on my GODDAMN FACE!” (Blows away his henchman)

Your probably REALLY like Carlito’s Way I’m bettin’...

She’s barely in the movie, but she looks great and her costumes are well designed (Same for Debi Mazar as Spice)... too bad they didn’t just cut TwoFace out and beef up their roles....

As bad as that movie is, the real story here seems to be what a drama queen your buddy was back in the 90's...

shit, I should have read down before posting the same thing. 90's blockbusters and their mediocrity really made me wise beyond my years in knowing how disappointing sequels can be.

the real question: How cheaply did WB sell the sequel rights to television? Maybe they knew what a turkey it was. The original probably had a higher price tag.

original Ace Ventura is an actual movie that happens to have Jim Carrey mugging. The sequel was heartbreaking garbage (except for the Monopoly Guy) for 9 year old me.

I remember loving this movie because of him, despite finding almost every other aspect of the film inferior to Tim Burton’s. Jim Carrey carried this fucking movie on his shoulders like fucking Atlas. Still embarassing to revisit.

I spent most of the 90's entertaining my family by memorizing all the best scenes from Carrey’s 93-97 heyday. Particularly The Mask, Dumb & Dumber, and this movie. Everybody thought it was great, including adults in their 40's (maybe they were just humoring me, but I think Jim Carrey and the 90's is sort of like Jerry

It came out when I was 12 so I REALLy didn’t understand how people could have found Luke annoying in the original, I mean, had they SEEN Jake Lloyd’s acting?
