A lot of the private cars were probably just paid for by employers moving employees.

I’m wondering if they were military personnel coming back to the US after being stationed in Europe?

If you have an emotional connection to a Nissan Versa, seek help.

It is the privately owned ordinary cars that are the true losses, because those are cars people cared enough for to tranship rather than replace. They meant something to someone, and that is a shame to lose those emotional connections.

And still 10K out of my acceptable budget.

“It didn’t make much sense at 30 grand, but down here under twenty, it’s a no-brainer.”

The Charger R/T that I rented a few years back was probably one of the best vehicles I’ve ever driven for eating up miles. Comfortable, with great infotainment, and more than quick enough. Everyone says the interiors aren’t great but I disagree - they might not be fancy but they’re soft in the right places and

Here come the strangely defensive nerds. Popcorn at the ready.

I’ve had no problem dropping thousands of miles on a Hertz rental at a time, and no comments/problems upon return.

Outside of in-city U-Haul rentals, I can’t remember the last time a car rental came with mileage restrictions (US or abroad). It’s always been unlimited miles for the duration of the rental.

Big yikes on the immediate reply with “hey you damaged my car with pet hair, let’s talk off the app so you can pay me” within the same minute of submitting the rental return. For me that’s a response of “Nice scam, no pets went near this vehicle. I will charge back anything you add to the claim and cancel the card if

Right up there with the Bong Recreation Area in Kenosha, WI; about 50 miles outside of where I live.

Compared to Mustangs/Camaros... a bit behind. But they are in the remedial reliability class that is relative. Going from a Stang to a Challenger will not be THAT painful, but compared to other makes, yeah, not great and really gets into a 75K+ penalty zone

More reliable than that Audi that's for sure.

Norm wants a Unicorn. Manual, passenger-space, trunk, reliable, easy to care for... A manual wagon musclecar.... brown right?

I’m fairly certain the article article is incorrect and theyve made corrections over the years...... but i could be wrong... it seems super hazy either way.....

1993 Lance would have been on Motorola, riding Eddy Merckx’s bikes, which would have been steel.....

During the late 90's early 2000's thme trial bikes started to become a thing... at that time, he would have been riding for USPS/Discovery. they were sponsored by trek, but this was before they had the Trek Equinox

Someone should make a gated shifter for an automatic just for the LOLz!

That would be the worst part. Having to explain to everybody why you thought a non-Hellcat Challenger was worth $100,000.

So far, so good:
