I love this place. I’ve been here for years and I intend to be here no matter what happens. This whole thing just makes me ill. I feel legitimately nauseous.

Man. I guess I really shouldn’t be surprised that the comments on this article are so different to the comments on last week’s Constance Wu/whitewashing article, but I am. Basically, it appears that “chill the fuck out” is the consensus here. The one movie of the year about a person with a serious disability — not…
There’s been an ongoing conversation—I remember it being sparked with The Fault in Our Stars, for example—about how stories like this tend to treat sick or disabled characters as less than fully human. Instead, they function as lessons for able-bodied protagonists that they need to “live like they were dying” (ugh).…
Muhammad Ali’s death has no place in a dirt bag.
Amber Heard’s legal team has released a lengthy statement on her behalf, countering claims that she fabricated abuse…
PLEASE ADD YEARLY SKIN CHECKS!! The most pain-free of these, and very important for catching skin cancers early! Self-checks are a habit we’re *supposed* to keep up with, like breast self-exams, but everyone needs to go to a dermatologist for a head-to-toe check at least once a year. Woefully few know this/do this.

If anything, everyone’s first concern should be that poor kid’s goddamn name. Boomer???
Finally, being able to put something down without talk of reservations.

Wayne Fetchzky?
I’m so glad they took the time to clear the bridge and catch him! Dogs are so good and I hope this guy finds his forever home.
As someone who has worked with ticks, studied arthropod-borne diseases, and spent a lot of time in the field working with insects that carry said diseases, I really do appreciate this piece. And even more it shows just how uninformed so called “advocates” are, particularly celebrities. Seeing things like that…
MD here. I promise I’m actually a good one and ALSO I actually had diagnosed Lyme disease as a kid, and got normal antibiotics. I have never met an MD who thinks that chronic Lyme has any real basis in medical fact, or as close to fact as you can get in medicine.
I have a couple severe invisible diseases so I get it but I also have zero sympathy for people who are milking illnesses to get attention. Yolanda saying her daughter’s DUI was because of this, for example, was absolute bullshit. I would say her giant exploded breast implant was undoubtedly making her sick. I’m sure…
In the future, historians will wonder why we listened to the useless advice given to us by our medical establishment and didn’t pay more attention to these enlightened celebrities who have warned us against the dangers of vaccines, thetans, and chronic lyme disease.
Between this odd story and the Ben Affleck nanny situation, I feel bad for actual nannies. I feel like more often than not, they are dealing with advances from their employer rather than coming onto the employer.
