I did watch CNN when I had a layover in Denver! When I was waiting in DFW it was Fox though, unfortunately.

It’s so true. Have you ever read some of the recruitment stuff online? Propaganda, true, but a direct piggyback off what we do here in the States.

It’s true. Just really easy for people to ignore, unfortunately.

I’ve been getting a lot of my “real” news from the Daily Show for a while. And reliable websites. And John Oliver.

I’ve given up on CNN this year. It has been such a disappointment in general.

I don’t know if this is some kind of revenge for ISIS/lone wolf attacks (or if it was one), but I really wish people would realize that terrorist groups like ISIS attack Muslims too. They don’t give a shit if someone attacks a mosque (unless it’s to “justify” some atrocity they commit).

I completely missed that!

A lot of people don’t like it. I’m not a huge fan of Christmas music. But I love the lights and the trees. And hot chocolate.

Right? They aren’t limited in any way. It drives me crazy that religious freedom for some translates to freedom to force their beliefs on everyone else.

That, and try to bring up the repurposed pagan holiday and people lose their shit. Same for Easter.

I wish I could do an extra star for Roswell.

As someone who has spent more Christmases with the white side of her family (b/c same country) this song was played a lot. Honestly, I didn’t know there’s another version.

You know, as someone who lives in Texas, I thought I was finally done with this fool (though Abbot isn’t my favorite, but we had Perry for fucking ever). And now Trump puts this ass-backward clown in charge of a pack of scientists and weapons.

Agreed. One of my older students was telling me about how he had to write a paper for political science on a controversial topic so he chose abortion, of course. Although he’s “pro-life” he truly tried to see it from both sides he said. But really, the pro-choice side is just about women, so he wasn’t swayed.

Trust me, there are quite a few of us in the U.S. having a hard time with it as well.

She is!

Me too! I’m closer to old than I am to young and I still feel like December is a magical month. That feeling never faded, and it started because of those things.

Agreed! I don’t really remember any specific gift I got as a child, but I still have the brass belt buckle that “Santa” lost in our house by “accident” (I wasn’t of an age yet to feel like a lost belt buckle story is a tad awkward). The experiences and traditions make the memories.

That’s adorable!

Yep! We spent a ton of time at the public library. Books and movies and storytime and it was awesome!
