That's crazier than the guy in China who bought 99 (??) iPhones just to be turned down by his girlfriend.

This is also a guy who (nearly) cried on television when he was dumped by a fellow politician girlfriend.

DH and I avoiding all names on the top 25 list - especially top 10 - of the year that we are matched with a child.

I almost bought a shorter dress as my "second" dress. Didn't end up getting it - wore a vintage pink dress instead. The pink dress was one of my mom's "change" dresses. I think people thought I was weird since I only had two dresses (not including my "travelling" dress) while typically brides of Chinese descent

Chart will DEFINITELY be wrong in my ancestral language (Chinese). Older cousins (i.e. the removed ones) are ALWAYS referred to as Aunt and Uncle because we respect the elder title. So while "bew" means cousin, I, as "bew yee" (cousin aunt) to my first female cousin who is 18 months my senior's daughters, I'm Auntie

Try being a Chinese speaker.

They look borderline okay for an "official" appearance. In high school, we were always told that we were "representing the school" whenever we're off campus on a field trip, so we had to not only behave, but "look appropriate." If we were in uniform, our shirts were expected to be tucked, our ties straight, etc...

If I had a daughter, I'd rather get her this Lammily (seriously, what kind of name is that? Can't she be called Liz or Margaret or something more "typical?") than a "themed" Barbie. Since Lammily doesn't seem to have a job/theme, my daughter can do whatever she wants - she can use her imagination. Lamilly can be a

Good for them. Our society is already too sloppy/laid-back. Sad, IMHO.

I was 11 or 12 when this show was on. I think it only lasted one season?

though without them (along with several other TLC shows), there won't be many shows to hate-watch. Many watch them to make fun of them!!

And I wonder if multiple shipping addresses within a certain period led to issues as well. Pretty dumb of Sephora. As for people with Chinese-sounding (last) names - we often joke that shopping for clothing, accessories and beauty supplies (especially more premium brands at sale prices) is ummm.... an "ethnic

Sephora's system crashed during the VIB Rouge event, so many people weren't able to purchase, including most people outside of the US. However, their accounts were not locked and everything was restored within 36-48 or so hours.

Glad you're not using the photo where he's wearing a shirt with Chinese words on them. I'm not exactly literate in Chinese, but I recognize three of the words as "good friend." Media should check and double check with a translator before using any pictures!

I understand where you're coming from, but I am talking about body image activists DISMISSING small size issues. "Your problems don't matter" is just as bad.
Also, smaller people - male AND female (especially male) often don't earn as much. Most CEOs are over 6' but the average male in North America is around

I agree, but why is it "less" of an issue when a smaller woman is said to be "child" sized or wearing a size more commonly found in elementary school aged kids? Do people really think infantilization isn't nearly as insulting? How?

As I said to NotHereForThat, it IS an issue when people say that your size is a size of an eight year old's. A grown woman is NOT a third grader.

Especially when they say that small people shouldn't have the right to complain because thin is considered a positive thing. Well, not when you say that a size 00 waist measure is the same as a child's. No grown woman wants to be compared to a child.

When people use the phrase "real women" they are referring to average women who most definitely don't look like models in either looks, dress size, or body shape.

If they charge more for plus then they need to charge less for petites.
