Because his ideal of what a film should be is essentially several music videos on top of each other. Every once in a while it’s effective and at least looks cool, but always kind of lifeless and conspicuously staged. If that was his style and he let someone else make story decisions it wouldn’t be as glaring, but when

Of all the different endings in the movie, I thought it was a missed opportunity to finally end on Martian Manhunter introducing himself just to repeat the same f—ing refrain that “bad times are ahead, we need more warriors.” Like yeah, dude, not only does everyone know, they spent half the movie looking for you.

Yeah his Joker laugh and voice is still crappy and his lengthy dialogue with Batman is so conspicuously unmotivated by anything inside the main story, that it makes the future concept less cool. On the one hand, I would love a Mad Max Batman who has to work with Deathstroke and Joker, but that scene just didn’t really

The opening action scene went from pretty badass to surprisingly dull once it became a CG fest where the helicopters and even the canyon walls all had a plastic texture.

It’s cool to hear the song sung by someone other than a tortured cis guy moaning out his pain in that cliche ‘90s grunge voice.

There’s something about the name Cole that’s like a dork’s idea of what a cool guy’s name is. It was everywhere in games for a while

I think they have a point actually. While the Nolan movies were dark in tone, they reveled in taking inspiration from crime/spy movies and mixing them together well. The scenes that are very dark are always for a specific purpose.

Rogan might have seen through him eventually, but it didn’t stop him from coming back however many times. I think he only really put it together when Peterson seemed to accidentally advocate making prostitution legal so the incels could get some, then had to backtrack his own statement.

While i agree, it’s to be expected when this is following up Endgame, a movie designed to include every character they could possibly squeeze into its runtime and whip geeks into a frenzy. And since both characters were sidelined throughout the MCU movies, it makes sense for people to wonder when the larger universe

That is poignant, but also weird that if it was his daughter’s favorite song he would use it in a sex scene. Not judging him there, jsut interesting choice

Just watched the clip. I think the biggest sin is that the guitar wasn’t really smashed. It was more like ‘bonked’. She gave it a good bonking.

Yeah they were trying to appeal to both camps. I thought WW made too big of a deal about its combat tbh—for something that was decent but could’ve been improved upon (lock on button for one). But yeah there is irony in how much combat is in WW only for TT to downplay it

The stealth kills in TT were awesome. Also using your sands to retry stealth sections was innovative in itself. More stealth games could benefit from something like that w/out restarting the section

Is this just what you have to do when you’ve already tattooed your whole face? I mean for 24 mil that’s a little weak. I’d get horns or tusks implanted, maybe get a hidden gun that shoots out of my mouth

Your favorite trainwreck “now with additional casualties, slow motion, and Cyborg”

I’m more annoyed by the caption “Amazing character you created.” It’s an 80 year old comic character that’s been portrayed at least a dozen times across media. All they did was make him a soundcloud rapper.

And Fincher gets a producer credit

Same thing happening with Qanon. Basically started as a joke or troll experiment (and I think even some of the people who are rabid Qanon fanatics aren’t completely sure if its factual or not, but it makes them feel powerful so doens’t matter)

Yeah it has the unfortunate timing of coming after Endgame, too, which made it clear that there’s a superhero every square mile you can hit up (and all ultimately cooperate with SHIELD/SWORD—so they don’t really have an excuse)
